First Performance of the Pre-Broadway run. A rare capture due to the fact the show ran

2 hours and 34 minutes, cuts are nearly inevitable. Includes three already cut songs, "I

Could Get Used to This", "The Line-Up Reprise #2", and "Gonna Build a Wall", so I'm

told. A very fun show with some amazingly catchy tunes and a top notch cast who gave

stunning performances, particularly from Christopher Sieber who is hilarious as Lord

Farquaad and Sutton Foster who is perfectly cast as Princess Fiona. Beautiful capture

with no obstructions of a show sure to be a hit! A+

Includes scanned Playbill information as well as NY1 and Breakfast with the Arts reviews and interviews. A little dark due to the nature of the show, but good color and clarity. Sound is very good as well. This show is interesting to say the least -- the sets and backdrops are all computer generated on large screens, which is an odd effect for the very traditional, elegant music. The score is beautiful, which makes up for the so-so plot. For some reason, I happen to love the show. [A]
