Cabaret
Broadway -- 1998 & 1999
Cast: Alan Cumming, Natasha Richardson, Mary McCormack, Mary Louise Wilson, Blair Brown, Ron Rifkin
About 90 minutes of raw press footage of the original Roundabout and the replacement casts; excellent sound and picture for both. Some generation loss.

Cabaret - 12/5/99 - Studio 54, Broadway - *Highlights* - Michael Hall (Emcee), Susan Egan (Sally), Michael Hayden (Cliff), Maureen Moore (Fraulein Schneider), Victoria Clark (Fraulein Kost). First generation, filmed from one of the back tables on the floor. FANTASTIC closeups and color, and unlike most videos of Cabaret, the actors don't end up washed out. This is a different version than the one circulating... it contains "Wilkommen" and a few other songs at the beginning by a cast I can't identify, followed by the Michael C. Hall performance... this version includes all of the song "Cabaret," as well as the scene following and a beatuifully clear capture of the end of the show. The disc contains 30 minutes of scenes from various other musicals as well... "Cell Block Tango" and "They Both Reached For The Gun" form Chicago, "In His Eyes" from Jekyll & Hyde, "If I Cant Have You" from Saturday Night Fever (excellently performed by Orfeh), and "Almost Paradise" from Footloose. I'm not sure who the cast members are in each of these shows.
Cabaret - 6/9/2000 - Studio 54, BroadwayMichael C. Hall, Joely Fisher, Dick Latessa, Carole Shelley, Michael Hayden. Good sound and picture. Spotlight washout during long shots, improves during zooms. Shaky filming.

Cabaret 4 November 2006 ~ West End, London
Anna Maxwell Martin, Michael Hayden, James Dreyfus, Sheila Hancock, Geoffrey Hutchings, Harriet Thorpe, Andrew Maud. A totally different Cabaret then previous ones. Wonderful production filled with very "raw" emotion.
This production does contain nudity. Crystal clear picture and sound, Fantastic performances. A+
